Get started
Create your first blog
The creation flow step by step: idea, domain, design, editorial charter and launch. What you enter at each step.
Two ways to start
When you begin, ForgR offers two paths:
- ForgR builds the blog from scratch (recommended): ForgR provisions a brand-new blog and manages the design, articles and publishing. This is the path described below.
- I already have a WordPress, connect it: ForgR connects to your existing WordPress and publishes its articles there. See Connect a WordPress.
The creation flow
Creation takes 5 steps. On the right of the screen, Léa (then Marc) assists you and can pre-fill each field in conversation. You can type everything yourself or let them guide you.
1. Idea
You describe the blog: name, niche, description, publishing language (French or English), target audience and categories. You link the blog to a reference brand (your main site) or mark it as independent.
2. Domain
You choose the blog address. Four options: buy a domain, use a domain already in your account, take a free .forgr.co subdomain, or connect your own domain. Details in Domains and subdomains.
3. Design
You pick a visual theme (about ten styles), your primary and secondary colors, a logo style and the layouts for the home page, articles and categories. Everything can be changed later.
4. Editorial charter
This is the charter Marc follows when writing: editorial tone and angle, up to 3 personas (who reads you, their level, their main pain point) and your first 3 article topics. The more precise the charter, the more the articles sound like you.
5. Launch
A summary checks each section and flags any missing fields. You click Create the blog.
After you click
Deployment runs in the background: you can close the window or navigate away, and a banner tracks progress. ForgR puts the site online, applies your design, then Marc generates your first 3 articles (a few minutes). You then get a confirmation screen with a link to open and to manage the site.
If an article is still generating, that is normal: it shows the matching status and publishes automatically once ready.
What next?
From your dashboard, you control publishing frequency, keywords, and you can review, edit or delete each article. See Articles, SEO and GEO.
